Mahakala, the destroyer of illusions,
embodies one facet of the god Shiva reminding us of the arbitrary, and at times delusional character of what we call reality.

Indigenous and shamanic cultures have, throughout the ages and across all races, devised methods to alter and move beyond the confines of their respective interpretations of reality. They have also passed the sacred knowledge how to accomplish this transition on to us.

The process of reframing our view of the world can often be painful as it requires letting go of cherished beliefs and self images. But the journey also opens doors to the most profound states of bliss and ecstasy, to a true reverence for the divine.

Among the most important means to lift the veil and expand perception and consciousness are the manipulation of the breath and the use of mind altering plants and compounds. Another essential device is music.
