Mantram

'Mantram' is a full collaboration between Steve Roach, Byron Metcalf, and Mark. In some ways the overall approach to this project expands on the experience these three artists have gathered when they worked on 'Wachuma's Wave'. But 'Mantram' has a completely different feel:
While shamanically oriented, this new album is very heart-centered and reflects not only the long years of expertise that Steve and Byron have collected as musicians; it also tells a tale of three very different, yet spiritually connected persons who came together to express their respective understanding of inner dimensions.

'Mantram' is a collection of musical explorations into inner space, the endless worlds that wait to be discovered. Steve, Byron, and Mark have recorded this album in a spirit of respect for the deep ecstasies and the profound challenges this quest for the inner realms can hold.

Each track on 'Mantram' mirrors a different facet of the soul and its search for depth and meaning. The musical expression of this voyage features Steve's powerful soundworlds, Byron's shamanically entrancing percussion, and Mark's Bansuri flutes and haunting overtone chants.
